Seven 2023 "Mostly Manhattan" Dining Recs
NYC is one of my homes away from home-- impossible to choose them all on just one list!
When we travel, we try to hit BIPOC owned and operated places first. But in NYC we also know that we have to hit up the fundamentals (pizza, hoagies, pastrami, et. al.) because we are human.
I have been traveling to New York City for many years, and kind of consider it to be one of my homes away from home. I never lived out my bucket list dream to live there, and now it’s way too late, but traveling there regularly might even trump the daily grind of “making it’ in the Big Apple– plus I get to eat out in so many more restaurants!
This list comprises my top 10 faves of the moment (in no particular order— they’re all too good to rank) but I’ll continually be adding to this list each time we visit, for an eventual “definitive list” that I might release at the end of next year for paid subscribers!
Some of these places are new, some are tried and true old friends, some are simply new to me, but I swear by each and every one:
