Join us for Queens of Greens: Tickets live now!
Get alllll the Collard Greens at this one-of-a-kind culinary event
You’re invited!
As BIPOC Foodways Alliance slides towards the end of a year of incredible programming, we invite you to join us, in collaboration with Project Sweetie Pie, for a unique night of celebrating women cooks, cultural diversity, and collard greens!
Hearty greens are a culturally significant crop across many cultural groups. Project Sweetie Pie had a bumper crop of greens, grown by North Minneapolis youth and community members to share this year, and we decided to collaborate on the bounty.
Join us for small plates collards tastings + accompaniments from four talented “queens”— women cooks who will bring their culturally diverse culinary stylings to Union Hmong Kitchen using collard greens as their inspiration.
Your ticket gets you entry, small plates of greens + accompaniments from each cook, culinary storytelling, music, mixing & mingling (+ optional beer/ wine tickets at the higher ticket tier).
Cooks will be announced next week!
You will have a chance to interact with each cook, and hear them talk about why collard greens are important to them and their cultural legacy cooking.
Tickets are limited— act fast!

Thank you to our sponsors, Project Sweetie Pie, for donating their bumper crop of collard greens; and Union Hmong Kitchen for donating their space.
